Just finished reading a biography of Google, with interviews from current employees and the 3 founders. Correlates with what I observed over the years, from my experience of using Google products.

1)the business is run along the lines of paternalistic capitalism.

2)what Google think is good, is good for everyone else. You’ll recognise there a Kantian attitude, and possibly a Sade with Kant attitude. As such, Google is incapable of conceiving that others can think differently.

3)Google thinks that electrons are the same as Libido/Jouissance.

The book: Steven Levy, In the Plex-How Google Thinks, Works and Shapes our Lives, Simon & Schuster, New York, 2011.
